Project Description

The background

Longman’s Hill Community Primary School is a primary school in Selby, North Yorkshire. The school sits in spacious grounds with a large field, playground with apparatus and even a pond.

The challenge

The school’s kitchen had an old sterilising sink unit in which crockery and cutlery were traditionally dunked into very hot water.

Xxx of HCS said: “The units are very out of date as the heat of the water is deemed dangerous, so they are rarely used in today’s kitchens.”

The school wanted to get rid of the sink and were looking to HCS for an alternative solution.

The solution

HCS carried out a site survey, measuring the area before pricing for a made-to-measure dishwasher solution which would fit the existing spot where the steriliser was to be removed from.

The result

The dishwasher was the perfect solution and could be replaced without moving anything else in the kitchen.
