Air Conditioning System Replacement at Yorwaste
Yorwaste is Yorkshire’s local waste provider. Owned by North Yorkshire County Council and City of York Council, Yorwaste manages over half a million tonnes of waste per year and carries out 550,000 trade waste and business waste collections. They employ over 350 staff.
The Challenge
Yorwaste needed to replace the air conditioning system at their head office in Northallerton. The old system was no longer functioning correctly and was running on an obsolete refrigerant. The Client required that replacement work was carried out with minimal disruption to staff.
The Solution
HCS replaced the old air conditioning units with new energy efficient units that provide both heating and cooling. Replacing the units allowed removal of the old gas fired heating boilers. The new air conditioning system reduces energy costs and helps Yorwaste reduce their carbon footprint.
The Result
The work was successfully completed well within timescales, to budget, with minimal disruption to staff and the Client was extremely happy with the result.
101 Year Anniversary
HCS Mechanical Services are proud to be celebrating our 101 year anniversary this year. We would normally be celebrating a century of being in business in 2020 but were happy to postpone our celebrations until 2021.
